Sharon Phillips, MA, LPC

Sharon Phillips is a trauma therapist in the East Peoria, Illinois office. She earned her undergraduate degree in Elementary Education from Bradley University. After moving to Minneapolis/St. Paul, she earned her Master’s degree in Counseling Psychology from Bethel University with an emphasis on children and adolescents. Sharon completed her internship at an autism day treatment program. Sharon returned to the Peoria area to be closer to family. She has had many years of working with children and adolescents in the educational and therapeutic settings. She is also trained in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. Sharon is interested in play therapy, the importance of developing secure attachment, and brain work especially as it relates to dysregulation and trauma. She also believes in working to restore the whole person and that hope is powerful in the healing process.
