Marty has enjoyed retirement from Unit 5 schools after some 36 years of teaching and counseling. She now enjoys free time with her husband Jim, their close knit family of two grown sons and lovely daughter-in-laws, and the blessings of being a Mimi. She enjoys reading, Bible study, crafting, and bargain shopping. She feels most proud volunteering as a court appointed special advocate (CASA) where she gets to help strengthen children and their struggling families.
When she is not giving to others, she loves to create beauty out of other's junk, cheer on the ISU redbirds, and connecting with new people and dear friends.
