Alex Tenhagen, LPC

Alex Tenhagen completed his bachelor’s in Psychology with a minor in Philosophy from the University of Wisconsin- Whitewater and got his masters in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Bradley University here in Peoria. He was working as Mental Health Associate in an inpatient Addiction Recovery Center for the past 3 years while studying for his master’s, and once he was awarded his LPC license he applied to ABC counseling and was offered a position as a Sexual Abuse Therapist. He has been in the mental health space for the past 4 years and is currently working on his full LCPC licensure with a focus on Neurofeedback and EMDR therapy. He strives to create an inclusive environment where children and adolescents can feel at ease and provide the best counseling possible. In his free time, you can find him relaxing by some body of water whether that be a pool, river, or a lake and he enjoys being in nature as much as possible.
