Devon and Cory
From us to you:
We want to start off by saying how brave you are for going through this difficult decision. You are making such a selfless choice for your baby. We would like to keep you updated on your child. If you’re interested in an open adoption, we’d love to send you pictures, keep in touch with milestones, and visits. If you choose an open adoption you too would be part of our family.
Why adoption?
Adoption is something that I’ve always wanted to do. Once we got married I met with my cardiologist about the two of us starting a family. Due to my heart history, my cardiologist thought a pregnancy would be too much on my heart. Since adoption had already been in my heart, it wasn’t a difficult decision to decide to start our family through adoption.
About us:
We have been together for almost six years; married for two. We live in central Illinois. We have one cat who we adopted in 2021 named Beans. Cory joined the Marine Corps shortly after high school and served for four years. He now works at a local manufacturing plant here in town. Devon works in the medical field and has worked in the field for ten years. We are both very goofy, caring, God loving people. In our free time we enjoy spending time our family whom we are very close with (we have six nieces and six nephews). We also enjoy going on walks, crafting, and watching movies. We are so excited to add to our family and hope that your baby can be the one that we add (you as well, because you’d be considered family to us).
Our families:
Devon has six siblings and was raised in a nearby small town of about 300 people. Devon has some siblings who are close by and then one who lives in Florida and one who lives in Missouri. Devon’s mom lives in Georgia, but we are all very close and have frequent visits. (This also gives us excuses for road trips). Cory has one sister who lives in the same town as us and his mom lives in a small nearby town; we get to see them often as well.
Our plan for our child:
We plan to raise our child on lots and lots of love. Open communication is so important to us and we want our child to be able to tell us anything that is on their mind. Our child will also be raised on laughter and faith.
